Defensive Play Calling

By: Coach S

I used numbers as signals, BUT, Do not tip your hand to the other team.

Use the forearm\wristband Play holder, You can place all formations on the captains forearm. He will look towards the sideline where 2 coaches simutaniously call signals.

The real signals would be numbers 5, 12, 21
will translate to slant right, dog, Sky

Seperate your Def into 3 sections Lineman, LB's, and Sec. Each gets an individual call.
Line would be the first number called

1. read, 2. in, 3. out, 4. slant left, 5. slant right, and so on.

Your Lb's would be the second number called

10. read, 11. hammer (A gap) blitz, 12. dog (B gap) blitz 13. zone 101 and so on..

Linebacker zones
0 for center 1 for hook 2 for slot 3 for flat 4 for Out.
a 102 will be Sam hook, mike center, will slot. this will be thier drops.

Secondary is last
20. read 21. Sky 22. Cloud 23. zone 11 24. zone 12 25. zone 21 26. zone 22 27. zone 31 28. zone 13 29. zone 32 30. zone 23. 31. zone 33

Secondary zones are defined as

1-center, 2-middle, 3-outs, this is 5 total as each side has a middle and out zone. The center is shared.
so a 32 would be ss cb outside zone, wscb middle zone.

This is simple and easy to learn
