DRILLS, DRILLS!!

I DO THIS DRILL WITH MY LINEMEN, IN THE OFFSEASON AND SEASON, EVEN AS OF NOW MY LINEMEN IN ALL AGE GROUPS, ARE PLAYING SOME FORM OF BASKETBALL I FOUND THIS TO BE THE BEST WAY TO GET SPEED AND QUICKNESS OUT OF THEM. I CAN TELL YOU THIS IF YOU HAVE A LINEMAN THAT CAN CATCH ON TO BASKETBALL OR SOMETHING THAT THEY WILL ENJOY AT FULL SPEED, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A HELL OF A PLAYER.ALSO AT PRACTICE WHEN KIDS ARE TIRED AND IT'S TIME TO RUN SPRINTS, TRY LETTING THEM PLAY RABBIT, YOU PUT EVERYBODY IN A LINE STRAIGHT ACROSS, THEN YOU PICK ANY TWO OR THREE OUT OF THE BUNCH YOU GIVE THE TWO OR THREE A FOUR SECOND HEAD START THEN YOU RELEASE THE REST OF YOUR TEAM, IF THEY GET CAUGHT THEY CAN GET TACKLED. YOU WANT TO DO THIS IN CASE YOU RUN ACROSS ANOTHER TOUGH TEAM AND IT'S THE 4TH QUARTER AND IT'S A CLOSE GAME THE TEAM WITH MOST ENDURANCE AND STAMINA WILL PREVAIL.
