New coach of new team for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade boys.

Hi everyone :)

I have several questions.

One is what is the best area to start on when coaching these guys. Half of them have never held a basketball before.
Two is what works in keeping the kids apart on the court? They all seem to have magnets that draw them all together in the middle of the court.
Third is how do you deal with parents who think they have they next Michael Jordan and tell their kids (in the middle of practice of course) something totally different then what you are teaching them.

I would appreciate any help as I've helped coach in the past but this is the first time I've had the coaching responsiblity and really want my guys to have a fun and encouraging season.

Warmly,
Jenni

PS. Yes I am a female coach :) and take alot of razing from the other coaches.....but have four boys of my own and wouldn't know how in the world to coach girls....LOL
