What About This?

Our program here in Houston is a combination All-Play and LL. We are LL affiliated (won the state tournament several times), but each player plays six defensive outs and bats once as a minimum - PER GAME. We don't have the weather problems that you in the north, east (and now CA) have, but we still see SOME dramatic differences in skills from one year to the next. This is attributable to our fall-ball program (usually only 6-8 games), and the fact that we have several quality baseball camps closeby (usually held in December/January). I personally enjoy the "evaluations" - and believe that a season can be good or great depending upon your draft. This is especially true of your selections from the middle down to the last one chosen. Frequently, these boys (and girls) determine your eventual success. It is important to see them, identify their flaws, and evaluate their attitude about learning.
