Kathy is Right

Kathy is right, Bob. Coaching is TEACHING. Do you think that anyone should teach fundamentals of anything and simply look at the short-term successes? Continue doing what you are doing - providing them the proper fundamentals that they will need to improve. I have seen some coaches have the players who field ground balls in the infield through the ball on the ground to 1B, so that the kid there can catch it. Personally, I don't even approve of that. At t-ball ages, just remember that there is a broad spectrum of sizes, skills, and maturities. Also, keep in mind that their attention span is very short. Keep the game fun for them.
