NC coach is an idiot!

Ya know, I've asked LL and NFHS why an umpire can't do something about this problem. After all, he is in charge of the game and the safety of the participants.

The answer is that they don't want to take control of the game away from the coaches. I even suggested that rather than doing anything at the game, at least define a limit that if exceeded, the ump would just turn in a notice to the program administrators. In LL, I suggested Region and in HS I suggest the state association responsible.

Sure it would be a small pain for the umps, and it would quite probably be a large administrative pain to the administrators, at least at first, but so what? Once data like that is available, it will get out to the public at large and something will be done!

I don't know how big the problem really is, but if other areas are remotely similar to ours, its a huge problem!

I don't get why coaches just don't develop more pitching! Its not like they don't have players who "can" pitch. Its seems that they are so intent on winning, they only want to throw the kids who are the best, over and over!
