9 Year Old Hitting Help

Yes. I've seen this many times. But first, would you answer these questions?

While your son is at bat:

- Is he focused on the pitcher or does he seem distracted by fans, parents, teamates, other players?

- Does he bail out of the box or lean backwards/away on each pitch?

- Is the base coach generally supportive or does he routinely reprimand for not swinging at strikes and/or swinging at bad pitches, etc?

Also,

- How does he react when he strikes out.

- Does he take reprimanding from coaches in stride or does it bother him?

- What's the competitive atmosphere of the team, parents, coaches?
