This Should NOT be Respository for Attorney's Discovery Request
By: Lowell Steiger
I am certainly not minimizing the blame which the perpetrator holds in this matter. Furthermore, I am not looking to hold the coach personally responsible. That is why the organizationf or which he coaches has insurance. However, I would be derelict in my duties if I did not seek to make my client whole again. Let me pose this question to all of you: If it was your child who was injured, unprovoked, to the extent that he required 5 hours of reconstructive surgery, will never be able to play sports again (because he now has 3 metal plates and 11 screws holding his eye socket together), will have a permanent droop on one side of his face, and now may face blindness because there is a possibility of a retinal tear, would you not look for all potentially responsible parties? Furthermore, just because I am investigating the parties who may be liable for this incident, it is just that at this point: An investigation. Do not be so quick to judge my intent. I was asking for help, not looking for co-conspirators to an ambulance chase. Believe me, if the shoe were on the other foot, you'd want me on your side as I am an advocate for my clients. Isn't that what we all want when we, or someone we love, are injured? I am investigating so that I do NOT go after the wrong parties.
