Cooperstown Baseball World - Older Age Brackets

Attention Coaches Cooperstown Baseball World, by overwhelming demand and interest, is attempting to finalize plans for our Summer 2000 Baseball Tournaments in the 14U, 16U, and 18U age brackets. Each tournament will be 7-days and 6-nights (Saturday-Friday). We have set a preliminary tournament schedule and will begin placing teams on a waiting list. Placing your team on the waiting list does not require a deposit at this time, but it will guarantee that when formal registration begins, your team will have the first opportunity of obtaining a spot in one of the scheduled weeks below. The summer season will fill rapidly. The preliminary tournament schedule for the Summer of 2000 is as follows: ·June 17 – June 23 14-Under ·June 24 – June 30 16-Under July 1 – July 7 18-Under ·July 8 – July 14 14-Under ·July 15 – July 21 18-Under ·July 22 – July 28 16-Under ·July 29 – Aug 4 14-Under Full sized fields in historic settings in the Oneonta area, just south of Cooperstown will be used (exact locations to be announced). All tournaments will guarantee a minimum of 8 games (weather permitting) and will have a qualifying round of 5 games, followed by a single elimination tournament for all teams featuring both a championship and consolation bracket. College and/or Major league scouts are expected to be in attendance during the week. All teams will be housed in newly renovated dormitories on the campuses of SUNY-Oneonta and Hartwick College. All teams will visit Cooperstown and the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and have the option to participate in other activities outside of the tournament play. The use of additional athletic facilities may also be available. Teams will also visit the new National Soccer Hall of Fame on Oneonta, with its many interactive exhibits. The cost of participation in the Cooperstown Baseball World tournaments is preliminarily established at $495.00 per player and coach(s) which also includes lodging, 3 meals a day, and commemorative gifts and trophies for all participants.
