AAU v LL {Rec} No Difference @ Allstar Time

Jon, it's just my feeling that at the younger ages, specifically 8 - 11 yrs, what is the sense of involving kids this young into travel teams? I really do not seem to see a difference in calibre untill the 12 & up ages. Maybe Ball in my part of the Country isn't as good as in the South, shorter season etc. And I have been invovled with the 2 competing programs in my area. I believe that if I could practice an all- star team picked out of 300 - 1000 kids, the team would be very competitive.

However, how come so many players play both? Comp & Rec?
