SportsCenter and Cracked bat.

By: Randy Dykstra

I started this entrire post due to the fact that I have seen so many bats break... and I've been waging my own consumer revolt against the outrageous prices the bat manufactureres are charging.

My son has personally Cracked TWO TPXs (2nd one was the replacement for the first from Louisville)

I have seen many Air ATTACKS (Is and IIs) dent and a couple crack... This spring I know of an Omaha cracking after only 2 months of use.

Finally, We had a Z-core break on usat the AAU Nationals...

Personally, The bat my son (and I) prefers is and Old REFLEX -Core BRX.... I too found a good sale a couple years ago and bought ahead ($89). I have yet to see one of those break and they perform as well as any bat on the market. For the most part I have been very happy (except new prices) with the EASTON bats. But now I know of at least 2 Z-Cores (one big barrel and one LL style) that have now craked.

It just adds fuel to my revolt.

REMEMBER the only way the manufactures can charge the outrageous prices are if we are willing to pay them! If we stop thinking that by spendig $200-$300 that we can instantly make our kids better players and spend more time MAKING them better players then we'll all be better off.
