Frustration with current teammates, coaches. Near Dallas.

I would like to know if there are other alternatives to our baseball in our area. I asked the coach what league we were in, but he didn't know. he finally remembered the term PBI, which I assume is PONY. I have a 9 year old (as of June 1st) that excels at the game. He is being moved from Pitcher, to 1st, to SS, depending on the players that are absent. He is probably the most talented person on the team for his age, and throws a mean fastball. He has had no coaching instruction, other than what I have offered and found on the web. I guess our coaches don't teach pitching? The main Pitcher is the coaches son, which is 2 years older than my son, and throws a little faster. It seems that these things called "Mechanics" should be taught...???
Anyway, I am located close to Dallas near Lavon. He is in the Community Youth Association. I just want to know if any other possibilities are available for him, since he loves the game so much, and seems to be getting the minimum in coaching assistance. This is his 1st year in Mustang Ball, which is Kid-Pitch, So, this Mustang name leads me to believe he is in a PONY league of some sort.
Any help would be appreciated.
