sore arms
By: Bear
Ditto on thread with JT. Also check out Message Board #2 "What's a Mom & Dad To Do. ! A Bear's Checklist to Baseball Arms By Bear First observation, Seadog, I see something in your thread about 'working' into 'long toss', but no 'real long toss (e.g. 150') and no upper half stretch/warm up/cool down. (I only saw lower half....e.g. poles). Other points worth noting (that I did not read into your thread) - Dry Mound Pitching - Plan for Side Day Pitching. (Playing catch with Dad.) - Time management for long toss/arm warm up - Teaching kid 'about his arm conditioning' - Options for ice / no ice maintenance rehab - Teenager Muscle fatique (a good thing) - Strong tri-cep & bi-cep conditioning - Using the 'acceleration and 'deacceleration' muscles of the shoulder - Pat Croce's got a good book on Arm Exercise for the Baseball Player (I am sure if you ask JT, he's got a few copies of Croce's charts to fax you.) cheers Bear - -
