Pitching Machine vs Coach Pitch

By: Tony
Add to Mixx!

The league I am involved in has considered doing the same thing for our minor league program. It has never happened because too many people on the board and coaches do not like the idea. Some of the arguments used to stop the implementation of pitching machines were: 1) It does not allow for the development and understanding of team defense and 2) It does not develop pitchers. To tell you the truth I cannot think of any strong arguments either way. I guess it is just a matter of personal preference.
